Community Projects
Track the status of ongoing and planned improvements across Prairie View.
Community Website
OtherBased on the community survey, there was an overwhelming support for creating a new website for the community to provide additional transparency and to drive increased engagement.
Mailbox Solar Light Repair
SafetyOnce again, the mailbox light on Elk Grove has been completely broken off. The effort will seek to replace the light.
Entrance Lighting
LandscapingMany community members have requested that the lighting for neighborhood entrances need to be addressed as it is very dark. Most of our entrances do not have power and relied on solar lights in the past. Investigate solar lighting solutions and install them.
Community Pool Lounger Cushions
AmenityOver the last few years, our community pool cushions have deteriorated and require replacement. We will be ordering higher quality cushions as well as seeking an alternative method to storing them during off season (e.g., Climate Controlled Storage Facility).
Pool Water Features Pump
AmenityPrior to opening the pool this season, we noticed a pool pump failure that was causing the main water features to not operate correctly. A new pool pump is required and will be ordered.
Park Landscape Lighting
LandscapingThe community has provided feedback regarding our park areas being very dark at night. We would like to investigate additional landscape lighting (solar) to help illuminate are beautiful parks in the evenings.
Community Pool Tile Repair
AmenityOver the last few years, the community pool has seen some natural wear and tear that has led to decorative tiles to fall out. While the issue is cosmetic, we believe the repairs are required to be performed ahead of schedule. The pools are due for a major overhaul in 2031.
Community Center Bathroom Overhaul
AmenityOur community is reaching nearly 10 years old and it is time to renovate and upgrade our bathroom facilities. We intend to encapsulate the restroom areas to keep animals and bugs from entering the facilities, adding key card access, refresh paint, update counters, and install new fixtures.
Community Center Security System
SafetyAfter conducting a community-wide survey regarding installing new security camera systems in the community pool area (overwhelming support), we will be installing cameras to monitor pool fencing, park area, parking, and lounge areas. We have had many instances of individuals jumping over the fences to gain access to restrooms and the pool. Many instances have led to vandalism in our bathrooms, leading to costs to the community. Individuals accessing the pool outside of operating windows also poses a liability to the community that we want to discourage.
We intend to respect neighbor privacy by not installing cameras facing the pool and keeping the cameras on a closed offline system. We will also look for systems that support AI enabled facial recognition and license plate readers without connecting to cloud providers. Systems like Unifi Protect offer AI capabilities in a local (offline) mode to ensure maximum community privacy will still enabling frontier AI capabilities. Offline camera systems also keep operating costs low since there are no subscriptions and only require an initial investment.

Community Center Parking Area Repaint
SafetyThe parking lines at the community center are beginning to show their age and have not been repainted since the community was first built. We will be applying a new paint to ensure parking and fire lane markings are clear.
No Overnight Parking Signs
SafetyAdding no overnight parking signs at the community center to discourage individuals from using crucial parking space and reducing suspicious overnight activity.
Community Center Pillar Repair
AmenityContinued pillar repairs in the community center area.
